General
The Guara Rural Hostel, located in the upper part of Alquézar, is a newly built large house featuring traditional elements of the area such as stone walls, reclaimed tiles and bricks, old wooden beams, and handmade clay floors. Great attention has been paid to detail in order to provide a rustic and charming accommodation.
The hostel can comfortably accommodate up to 64 people. The beds are distributed among 3 double rooms and several rooms with 4, 6, and 8 beds, all with private bathrooms. All rooms are exterior-facing and include hot water in the bathrooms and central heating. From the balconies and terraces of the hostel, there are magnificent views of the village of Alquézar and the Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor.
On the ground floor of the hostel is a common lounge with space for 60 people, a fireplace, a bar, and a television. There is also an outdoor terrace with extraordinary views of the village, as well as a space to store bicycles and sports equipment. Free parking and Wi-Fi are available.
The hostel offers the option of half-board accommodation and has special rates for groups and young people.
A charming place to stay in one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Alquézar, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1982. It is a village that has preserved the medieval charm of its streets and houses intact. Its location among rocky cliffs on the banks of the Vero River evokes in visitors the feeling of times past.

Activities
Alquézar, situado en el Parque Natural de la Sierra y los Cañones de Guara, fue declarado Conjunto Histórico-Artístico en 1982. Conserva intacto el encanto medieval de sus calles y casas, su enclave entre acantilados rocosos a orillas del Río Vero transmite al visitante sensaciones de antaño.
Es una villa medieval fortificada, de hecho sus orígenes fueron el de una fortaleza musulmana. En la parte alta de la villa se encuentran el Castillo y La Colegiata de Santa María que no podemos dejar de visitar, así como el Museo de Arte Sacro que tiene joyas de incalculable valor.
Roca, agua, historia, arte y leyenda se funden en Alquézar, formando un universo sorprendente, único, inesperado, en el que es posible retroceder en el tiempo mientras se recorren sus estrechas callejuelas, se atraviesan las puertas de la muralla, se escuchan viejas historias de moros y cristianos...
Un punto de partida para numerosas rutas senderistas, impresionante la ruta de las pasarelas que permite admirar la belleza del último tramo del cañón del río Vero; cuevas y covachas con manifestaciones de Arte Rupestre; descenso de ríos y barrancos encabezados por el Río Vero, Barranco de los Oscuros del Balced, Barranco del Mascún, Formiga, Peonera…; rutas de BTT, rafting, escalada, vías ferratas… y un sinfín de nuevas actividades al aire libre.
