Lecina de Bárcabo, a small village with around 25 inhabitants, is located at an altitude of 761 meters, in the heart of the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park and the Río Vero Cultural Park.
It is one of the best-known villages in the Sierra de Guara thanks to the noble character of its buildings. Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, it offers great opportunities for nature lovers, as it is surrounded by ravines and gorges.
Nearby Lecina, as well as in the gorge formed by the Río Vero, there are several small caves where prehistoric schematic-style paintings have been discovered. These are part of the figurative ensembles of Fajana de la Pera, Covacho Grande de la Escaleretas, and Fallinero (Río Vero Cultural Park).
The Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park is known for the beauty and spectacular nature of its landscapes, shaped by a complex geological structure and erosion processes, which have created a network of canyons, ravines, gorges, and narrow valleys.
In the surrounding area, you can enjoy many activities that keep you in touch with nature:
