House Matosa is a typical manor house of the area, restored between 2004 and 2009, respecting the original stone and wood architecture.
It has 2 apartments, each with capacity for 4 people, featuring two double bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen-dining room. There is the option to add two extra beds and a crib. House Matosa also offers the possibility to rent the entire house for groups of up to 12 people.
Outside the house, there is a northeast-facing garden located at the front of the property. At the back, there is a south-facing garden with a swimming pool, barbecue area, and wine cellar. The wine cellar is a 70 m² room with a vaulted ceiling.
The house is located in Las Ventas de Santa Lucía, just 4.5 km from Graus, very well situated to explore the Ribagorza Valleys and ideal for relaxing, resting, and enjoying the peace and quiet of this corner of Huesca.
Las Ventas de Santa Lucía is a small village belonging to the municipality of Graus, located just 4.5 km along the road that connects Graus and Benasque, at an altitude of 610 meters.
The old town of Graus was declared a Historic Site in 1975. Its Main Square (Plaza Mayor) is particularly notable, where you'll find the Town Hall and the Heredia and Barón houses, whose façades are decorated with allegorical paintings. Also in the town are the Basilica of the Virgen de la Peña and the parish church of San Miguel, both of Romanesque origin.
The region of La Ribagorza is set in a privileged location at the foot of the high Pyrenean peaks. The rivers Ésera, Isábena, and Noguera-Ribagorzana shape the region into the three valleys that bear their names. The Ésera and Benasque Valley, Isábena Valley, and Noguera Valley are must-see spots during your visit, as well as the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.
Climbing a summit, walking through a valley, resting beside a glacial lake, listening to birdsong and the murmur of a river... The landscapes of this region are a real surprise for first-time visitors.
This region is home to a rich and often little-known monumental heritage: the Obarra Monastery, the Cathedral of Roda de Isábena, and the Monastery of Santa María de Alaón are just a few fine examples of Romanesque art you can enjoy.
Gastronomy is another of Graus’ highlights, both in tradition and quality. Among its renowned cured meats, the star is the Graus longaniza sausage. In July, the Longaniza Day is celebrated, featuring the largest longaniza barbecue in the world, a craft market, and various cultural events.
