Activities

Bellestar de Graus is a small village with about 40 inhabitants, located in the Ésera Valley, at 633 meters above sea level. It belongs to the municipality of Graus, just 8 km away. A rural setting where tranquility is synonymous with well-being and comfort.

The old town of Graus was declared a Historic Ensemble in 1975. Its main square stands out, featuring the Town Hall and the Heredia and Baron houses, whose façades are decorated with allegorical paintings. Also located here are the Basilica of the Virgen de la Peña and the parish church of San Miguel, both of Romanesque origin.

Ribagorza is framed in a privileged location, at the foot of the high peaks of the Pyrenees. The Ésera, Isábena, and Noguera-Ribagorzana rivers structure the region into three valleys that bear their names. Must-visit sites during your stay include the Ésera and Benasque Valley, the Isábena Valley, the Noguera Valley, and, of course, the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.

Climbing a peak, walking through a valley, resting by a mountain lake, listening to the birds alongside the murmur of a river… The landscapes of this region are a true delight for first-time visitors.

This comarca boasts a rich and little-known monumental heritage: the Monastery of Obarra, the Cathedral of Roda de Isábena, the Monastery of Santa María de Alaón… just a small sample of Romanesque architecture to enjoy.

Gastronomy is another highlight of Graus, known for both tradition and quality. Among its famous cured meats, the longaniza de Graus stands out. In July, the “Day of the Longaniza” is celebrated, featuring the largest longaniza barbecue in the world, a craft market, and other parallel events to enjoy.
