General
Las Casas de Zapatierno are the result of the renovation of a traditional high-mountain house and an old hayloft, located in Espierba, in the heart of the Pineta Valley, surrounded by natural meadows and forest.
The traditional house has been renovated into three dwellings: Las Tucas, Montinier, and Los Astazu, each with a capacity for 4 people. The former hayloft has been turned into Casa Carmen, a superior category rural house for 4 or 5 people.
Las Tucas
It is located in the western corner of the house, facing the Sierra de las Tucas and the Monte Perdido massif. It accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a living room with kitchen, fireplace, and TV. On the first floor is the main bedroom with a double bed and a balcony facing the main façade. Next to it is the bathroom. The top floor is a spacious attic room with two single beds. The bedrooms have parquet flooring. The attic features a large picture window with views of the Monte Perdido massif.
Los Astazu
This unit occupies the central part of the house. It offers 4 beds in two double bedrooms. The layout is the same as Las Tucas, except that the attic has two windows: one facing north towards Monte Perdido, and another facing south, like the house’s façade, with views of the valley and Montinier.
Montinier
Located in the eastern corner of the house, with views over the estate. It accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms. Its layout is the same as Las Tucas and Los Astazu. In this case, the attic features a large picture window with views over the property, the surrounding forest, and the entrance to the Pineta Valley.
Casa Carmen
This is the result of the renovation of the old hayloft. As a single-family home in a standalone building, its size is larger than the three previous units. It offers 4 to 5 beds and is distributed over two floors. On the ground floor, there is a spacious living-dining room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen, which also includes a traditional wood-burning stove. On the upper floor are the bathroom and two bedrooms: the main one with a double bed and a south-facing terrace, and another double room with an extra bed. The second floor has parquet flooring.
Las Casas de Zapatierno are surrounded by magical forests and mountains, an ideal place that invites rest and tranquility, where only silence can be heard.

Activities
Espierba es una aldea de casa diseminadas, de unos 30 habitantes, situada a la entrada del Valle de Pineta, a 1350 metros de altitud y perteneciente al municipio de Bielsa.
Bielsa es un municipio que conserva su larga tradición e historia a través de su lenguaje, el belsetán (variedad de la fabla aragonesa) y de celebraciones que aluden al pasado como el Carnaval de Bielsa, que reúne cada año en febrero a miles de visitantes y que tiene la particularidad de ser uno de los carnavales más antiguos de España.
El Valle de Pineta es uno de los cuatro que forman el Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. Un valle excavado en tiempos remotos por hielos permanentes y que forma en la actualidad la ladera este del macizo de Monte Perdido.
El río Cinca nace al fondo del valle, en el circo de Pineta, en las cascadas que caen desde 3.000 m. de altitud. En las laderas del valle encontramos un bosque virgen mixto de pino negro, hayas, acebos, entre otras espacies.
Se pueden hacer excursiones a preciosos ibones que en la mayor parte del año están helados: ibón de Marboré, ibón de Plan, ibón de Trigoniero, conocer el valle de Gistaín y sus pueblos llenos de historia, Plan, San Juan, Saravillo, Gistaín..., visitar Aínsa (pueblo declarado conjunto Historico-Artistico desde el año 1965).
Cualquier época del año nos invita a pasear por el valle y a dejarnos invadir de tranquilidad y reposo.
